He was predeceased by: his parents, John Max and Marjorie Grace Rafeld (Oberholtzer); and his brother Roger. He is survived by: his wife Janice A. Rafeld (McDonald); his children, Devra Rafeld and Doug Rafeld (Meridith); his granddaughters, Ella and Marge; and his siblings, Judy Patterson and Dick Rafeld.
