She was predeceased by: her parents, James Dawes and Esther Dawes (Hill); and her son Preston Dawes. She is survived by: her children, Jerome Dawes, Jeron Dawes, Patsy Dawes, Phillip Dawes, Pamela Dawes (Laura Thomas), Tammy Dawes, Tiffany Dawes, Bryant Dawes, Ryant Dawes and Veronica Dawes; and her grandchildren, Roy, Vanessa, Nykerah, Aniya, Isabella, Brianna and Carter. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, 12 siblings, and many nieces and nephews.
