It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew J. Shafer of Allentown, Pennsylvania, born in Easton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 21, 2021, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Nicole M. Shafer (Metzger); his parents, Floyd M. Shafer and Rosemary Shafer (Shivo) of Williams Township; his sons, Jackson M. and Quinn M. Shafer; his sister Kimberly A. (Jeff Standley) of Marion, TX; his mother-in-law Jean Metzger of Macungie; and his sisters, Tricia (John Scott), Cheryl (John Streeper), Amber (Kyle Jornov) and Dale (Nicole Metzger). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc. for the Jackson and Quinn Shafer Scholarship Fund.
