He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gackenbach and Kathleen Gackenbach (McElhatten). He is survived by: his wife Jean A. Gackenbach (Newhard); his daughters, Joan McClarin (Robert) and Kathy Knakkergaard (Thomas Bundra); his grandchildren, Andrew Mish and Alexa Trimble; his great grandchildren, Ella, Liam and Rowan Mish; and his brother Dr. Joseph Gackenbach.
