He was predeceased by: his father Paul E. Schaffer; and his brother Kevin A. Schaffer. He is survived by: his mother Shirley A. Schaffer (Beil) of Coplay; his siblings, Ann L. Steigerwalt (Ted) of Slatington and Keith A. Schaffer of Lehighton; his children, Alex, Cady and Carter; and his pet Max. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
