He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome D. "Jerry" Brakle and Ruth Van Brakle (Smith); his wife Debi (Smith); his son Rev. David S. Van Brakle; and his brother James Van Brakle.
He is survived by: his daughter Mollee E. Griffith (John); his daughter-in-law Erica R. Van Brakle of Lawrenceville, NJ; his sister Karen Worley (Dan) of Latimore Township; and his grandchildren, Ethan, William, Adylin, Poppy and Jane.
