He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph F. Wirth Sr. and Phoebe E. Wirth (Houdeshell); and his siblings, James Wirth, Esther N. Thomson, Roberta L. Hertzog and Elizabeth A. Heil.

He is survived by : his children, Herman C. Wirth Jr. of North Carolina, Diana Faye of North Carolina, Jason Robert Wirth of Allentown, Christopher Lee Wirth of Reading and Amanda K. Shacket of New Tripoli; his brothers, Charlie Wirth of East Greenville and Joseph Wirth Jr. of Colorado; and his former life partner Linda Fisher (Brian) of Allentown. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
