With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alvin M. Fischer of Allentown, Pennsylvania, born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 15, 2024. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Emma May Kopp and Samuel C. Fischer; his children, Cynthia Fischer-Gatto (Louis Gatto), Bruce Fischer and Douglas Fischer (Janice); his grandchildren, Micah Fischer (Kim), Hannah Sandham, Zachary Fischer (Sara), Benjamin Fischer and Matthew Gatto; and his great grandchildren, Josh, Alex, Zuzu, Izzy and Clara.
Al donated his talents (woodwork, upholstery, painting, plastering, mechanical and electrical repair) to his neighbors, friends, family, the Allentown Symphony, Allentown's Council of Churches and Calvary Baptist Church.
