He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Painter and Mary Painter (Miller); his wife Ruth Painter; and his siblings, Harry Painter, Clarence Painter, Leland Painter, Donald Painter and Donna Rumbaugh.
He is survived by: his children, Ralph G. Painter (Diane Flemm) and Bonnie L. Walters (James); his grandchildren, Tracy, Michelle, Nicole and Lauren; his great grandchildren, Ashlee, Ian, Allison and Carley; and his great great grandchild Mavrick.
