He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Leroy and Margaret Marie Smith Swanger; his brother Thomas Swanger; and his niece Lisa Potts. He is survived by: his siblings, Elizabeth Swanger of Lower Burrell, John Swanger (Judie) of Oakmont, Gary Swanger (Richard) and Rose Potts (Howard) of New Kensington; and his sister-in-law Rosa Swanger of Plum Boro. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
