He was predeceased by: his son Melville Grant Reed Jr.; his sister Martha Reed Wade; his stepmother Pauline Reed; and his stepsister Betty Kepple. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne D. Reed (Shuster); his children, Mid G. Reed (Maureen O'Connell) of Allegheny Twp, Mark Gary Reed of Freeport and Robert Reed (Dawn) of Allegheny Twp; his daughter-in-law Lou Ann Harnish of New Kensington; and his grandchildren, Mark Gary Reed Jr., Melanie Shindledecker (Dwayne), Justin Reed (Keisha), Jeramie Reed (Amanda) and Alexis Reed. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
