He was predeceased by: his parent Jacob "Merle" Claypool. He is survived by: his parent Earla E. Claypool (Bowersox) of Brick Church; his son Brian C. Claypool (Holly) of Rutland, MA; his grandsons, Hunter M. Claypool of Rutland, MA, Camden Conti of Rutland, MA and Shane Conti of Rutland, MA; and his sister Elaine Claypool of Brick Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Cliff's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project by mail, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
