She was predeceased by: her parents, Evangelos Sarantakes and Ourania Sarantakes (Tampalis); and her son Nicholas Michaels. She is survived by: her sibling Lee (Nicholas); her husband William; her sons, Lee Michaels (Alison) of Leechburg and Kimon Michaels (Sherry) of Monte Sereno; her grandchildren, Lauren, Juliana and Cassandra; her brothers, Nick Sarantakes (Viva) of Texas and John Sarantakes (Judy) of Kansas; and also Mary McClelland (Don) of Texas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
