He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Ray and Myrtle Leichliter; his wife Phyllis; his son-in-law John "Red" McWilliams; and his grandson John D. McWilliams Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Evelyn McWilliams, Sharon "Sissy" Mineard (Gary), Lloyd Wayne Leichliter (Donna), David "Pudge" Leichliter (Sheila), Donald Leichliter (Shirley) and Kathy McConnell (Randy); and his grandchildren, Sherry, Gregory, Shawn, Ryan, Kristen, Wayne Robert, Lora, Melissa, Jeffrey, Shane, Shannon, Hannah, Stephanie and Stacie.
