He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Louis Taylor, Sr. and Rachel Deloache Hooks; his daughter Pamela Williams; his grandparents, Nelson, Viola Deloache, Mac and Lola Ann Taylor; his aunt Mary Jones; and his siblings, Abdul Halim (Lorenzo Hooks), Ralph Childs Jr., Rachel Deloache and Edith Hooks Henderson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Rahman of Erie, Hakeem of Erie, Leon Hooks Jr. of Erie, Carlos Carter (Randi) of Colorado, Pasha Prioleau (Patrick) of Atlanta, GA and Angela Q. Starks (Aaron) of North Carolina; and his stepchildren, Carletta (Kimberly) and Tamika Tate.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the First Good Samaritan A. M. E. Zion Church (3209 Pennsylvania Ave, Erie, PA 16504).
