With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy Jean Applebee Richards Mitchell of Albion, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2025 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Applebee and Josephine Applebee; her siblings, Daniel Applebee and Audrey Kreutz; her former husband Archie Richards; and her stepsons, Michael Richards and Mark Richards.
She is survived by: her husband James Mitchell of Albion, PA; her brother Gary Applebee of Union City, PA.; her daughters, Wendy Sisson (Larry) of East Springfield, PA and Jolene Bradshaw (Rick) of Fallbrook, CA; and her stepchildren, Kelly Morotto (Matt) of Palm Coast, FL, Wendy Richards of New Smyrna, FL, Shawn Sanders (May) of Fredericksburg, VA., Kim Parshall (Steve) of Albion, PA, Greg Mitchell (Andie), Karen Mitchell, Richard Mitchell (Erin) of Chapel Hill, NC and Nate Mitchell (Candi) of Albion, PA..
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mattera Funeral Home (188 E State St, Albion, PA 16401). A Mass was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Lawrence Catholic Church (180 E State St, Albion, PA 16401).
