It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther L. Madewell of Albion, Pennsylvania, born in Palmer, Tennessee, who passed away on June 19, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter A. Vanhoosier and Della Mae Sanders Vanhoosier; her husband Joe F. Madewell; and her siblings, Alex, Nelson, Walter, Jr., Jack, Bill, Houston, Allen, Dorothy, Evelyn, Thelma, Dola and Pat.
She is survived by: her sons, David (Shirley) and Robert "Dell" (Toni); her daughter-in-law Patricia Truitt; her sister Mary Hawkings; her grandchildren, Amie (Tim), Lisa (Adam), Megan (Will), Charity, Courtney Sweed (Adam) and Christie King (Brandon); and her stepgrandchildren, Wawnita, Joann McLaughlin (Bernie) and Richard Dunbar (Nadia).
