It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Zeno Ray Royer of Akron, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 7, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Zeno Ray Royer to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Royer and Dorothy Royer (Garman); and his brothers, Kary, David Royer and Phillip.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy L. Royer (Walter); his daughter Corinne Sweigart (Royer) of Ephrata; his grandsons, Brandon (Erica) and Jared (MaryAnne); his great grandchildren, Trent Lee Sweigart and Summer Anne Sweigart; and his sisters, Mary Martin of Ephrata and Cynthia (Cornell Wealand) of Akron.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Zeno's memory may be made to the Akron Volunteer Fire Company, 1229 Main St., Akron, PA, 17501, or Hospice and Community Care, P. O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA, 17604.

“Zeno was the Paul Bunyan of Akron. He was strong, a big man with a big heart. Always smiling and laughing and always happy to see you. He often would lend us his old pickup "Betsy" he used to call her. My first job was working for John Royer at Norka Tree Farm. Zeno was family to us and the only one sweeter than he was his wife, Nancy! RIP Zeno - I will always remember you. My deepest sympathy to Nancy and family. - Jim Renner”
