He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin F. Altman and Irene M. Bradley Altman; and his siblings, Mary Afflebach, Violet Goebel, Betty Schissler, Beatrice Altman and John Altman.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley A. Ream Altman; his daughters, Sherry L. Jones of Lancaster and Cindy L. Dietz of Akron; and his grandchildren, Brian Frederickson, Heather Lynn Smith, Brittany Dietz and Christopher Jones. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
