We are sad to announce that on January 1, 2022, at the age of 95, George Frederic Scherer Jr. of Akron, Pennsylvania, born in Allentown, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George F. Scherer, Sr. and Marie Scherer (Schumaker). He is survived by: his children, Martha (Bruce Kilhefner) of Oak Creek, CO, David (Christine), Arlene King of Craig, CO, Jennifer (Dennis Hollinger) of Barnesville, PA, Michael Scherer of LaPort, PA and Joyce Scherer (Steve Klotz) of York, PA; and his sister Frances Henly. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
