He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Whitman; and his brother Harold Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Patterson (Hamlin); and his children, Deborah Fegley (David), Kathleen Bernard (Jim), Pamela Vanderlin, Charles Craig Patterson, Kevin Ivy (Patty) and Michael Patterson. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
