She was predeceased by: her parents, Chambers L. Hooks and Clara Emily Crissman Hooks; and also Cassius Brown Nicklas. She is survived by: her daughter Carolyn J. Nicklas Johnson (James "Tim") of Dallas, TX; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Nicklas Madgwick (Chris) of Waldo, WI, William Edward "Teddy" Madgwick and Katharine Margaret "Kate" Madgwick. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial donations may be made in Bernice's honor to Trinity Presbyterian Church or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
