With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leona Mae George Hensler of Adamsburg, Pennsylvania, born in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 21, 2025 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her former husband Charles George; her husband Robert Hensler; and her son-in-law Pete Cruder. She is survived by: her children, Steven George (Mary Jo), Sandra Cruder and Lynn Marinello (Phillip); her grandchildren, David Singler (Erica), Steven George (Allison), Sara Baird (Ryan) and Michele Gallagher (Will); her great grandchildren, Spencer, Nico, Taron, Cora, Sadie, Emmy, Levi and Walker; and her grandchildren, Abigail and Adam.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, Inc. (176 Clay Pike, Irwin, PA 15642). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Leona's name to the Vitas Community Connection hospice organization.
