With profound sadness, we say goodbye to LaVerne Cortese of Adamsburg, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. LaVerne left this world on April 11, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Demorest and Elsa Demorest (Vesco); her husband Samuel Cortese; her son Samuel John Cortese; and her siblings, Wilbert Demorest, Marvin "Sonny" Demorest, Marie Webster and Ruby Lewis.
She is survived by: her son Michael B. Cortese (Deborah) of Greensburg; her grandchildren, Michael J. Cortese, Heather Banwar, Anthony Cortese (Amanda) and Catherine McConnell (Christopher); her great grandchildren, Caleb, Cody, Mikayla, Finley and Ira; and her brother Ronald Demorest (Jeannie).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc. (521 Main St, Irwin, PA 15642). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the William Snyder Funeral Home (521 Main St, Irwin, PA 15642).
