Norma Jane left this world on March 22, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clair Shermeyer and Pauline Shermeyer (Moore); her husband Ralph Woerner; and her siblings, Brian Shermeyer and Emma Kritchen.
She is survived by: her children, Melinda Roth (Ronald) of Arendtsville, PA, Craig Woerner (Carolyn) of Gettysburg, PA and Susan Rowles of Rock Hill, SC; and her siblings, Evelyn Heilinger of Abbottstown, PA, Mary Arvin (Wayne) of Bonneauville, PA, Richard Shermeyer (Shirley) of Abbottstown, PA, Michael Shermeyer (Rita) of Gettysburg, PA, James Shermeyer (Louise) of Seven Valleys, PA, Anthony Shermeyer (Rebecca) of New Oxford, PA and Mark Shermeyer (Donna) of Gettysburg, PA.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Monahan Funeral Home (125 Carlisle St, Gettysburg, PA 17325). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (6084 W Canal Rd, Abbottstown, PA 17301).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 W. Canal Rd., Abbottstown, PA 17301.
