He was predeceased by: his father Harold L. Shadle, Sr.; and his sister Sherry L. Shadle. He is survived by: his mother Mary E. Shadle Shadle, (Becker) of Abbottstown; his wife Rae J. Shadle (Bentzel); his sons, John D. Shadle of Newberrytown and James D. Shadle of Hanover; and his sister Lisa R. Shadle-Glad (Barry) of Abbottstown.

Harold was a member of the Legioin of Mary at our parish for a while and I enjoyed working with him doing Legion of Mary work. I admired his dedication to his Catholic faith and to his family.
