He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis P. Smith and Helen L. Smith (Schlaline); and his siblings, Emily Stewart, Loretta Gebhart and Bernard "Bernie" Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene R. Smith (Hoffman); his friend Precious; his sons, Edward Smith (Kelly) of York, Brian Smith (Heidi) of York and Darrin Smith (Stacy) of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Eddie Smith, Brianna Smith, Trey Smith, Claudia Smith, Annika Smith, Camden Smith, Amanda Smith, Brayden Smith and Megan Smith; his siblings, Barb Gotwalt (Robert), William "Bill" Smith (Bev), Helen Lentz (Rod), Leon "Bud" Smith (Jen), Linus "Boze" Smith, Mary Roberts (Randy), Dennis "Brown" Smith (Rhonda), Edward "Tank" Smith and Lori Cnota; and his pet Precious. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
