It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carl D. Gruver of Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 5, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Gruver and Catherine Gruver (Brillhart); and his siblings, Lester, Charlie, Daniel Gruver, Ethel Mummert and Helen Schroll.
He is survived by: his spouse Fay; his children, Brian of Thomasville, Judy Gontz (Trevor) of Lancaster and Jody Stauffer (Matthew) of Lancaster; his grandsons, Nick and Ben Gontz; and his siblings, Elmer, Ralph, Kenneth, Ronald Gruver, Annie Meyer and Dorothy Hoffheins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church at 3241 Church Road, Thomasville, PA 17364. Per Carl's request, his body was donated to Hershey Medical Center Cancer Research.
