It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna May Shafer of Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, born in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 22, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. Plank and Hazel I. Plank (Dick); her daughter Kristy Shafer; and her stepson Robert Shafer. She is survived by: her husband Fred N. Shafer, Sr. of Abbottstown; her daughter Sandra D. (Lee Viands) of Abbottstown; her stepsons, Fred Shafer, Jr., Chris Shafer, Richard Shafer and Ronald Shafer; and her brother James Plank of Gettysburg. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
