He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew J. Klena and Margaret A. Klena (Tankersley); and his grandson John Daniel. He is survived by: his wife Diane Lee Sharpe; his children, Jude (Minako) of Chesapeake, VA, James (Leah) of Norfolk, VA, Michael (Susan) of Aaronsburg, John (Justine) of Aaronsburg, Jerome (Kazuko) of Aaronsburg, Joel (Carlene) of Danville, PA and Joy Hoey (Ryan) of Marcellus, NY.; and his siblings, Matthew and Catherine Surkosky.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic a public memorial service will be held at a later date.
