He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurence Johnston and Amanda Johnston; his siblings, Lee Johnston, Gerald Johnston, Ethel McKindley, Inez Ptacek, Ruby Sanders, Wilma O'Connor and Ruth Pfaff; his daughter Terri Goold; and his sons-in-law, Tim Hart and Jody Sleppy.
He is survived by: his wife Deanna; his daughters, Tammy Holmes (Fred), Teresa Hart, Regan Reichle (John), Sheri Sleppy, Cricket Spencer, Bobbi Cookston (Tony) and Leisa Liebenow; and his siblings, Garnet Verley (Don), Lauen Johnston (Lorna) and Jim Johnston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
