He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Kenneth O'Brien and Mary Louise O'Brien (Fitzgerald); his grandson Kevin Jenkins; and his stepdaughter Diana L. Brock. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Janet O'Brien (Smith); his children, David K. O'Brien (Phyllis), Kathleen L. O'Brien, Kelly J. Sheehan (David) and Kimbelle A. Croson (Kenny); his stepdaughters, Stephanie J. Garrison (Phil), Michelle M. Swan (Mike) and Rene A. Smiley; and his daughter Debi L. Swan. He is also survived by many family members and friends.
