He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilber Converse and Helen Converse; and his brothers, Alan Converse and Wayne Converse. He is survived by: his wife Susan Converse; his children, Anna LaCoe, Merlene Converse and David Converse; and his siblings, Sylvia Bailey, Dick Converse and Dan Converse. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
