He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Neva Helligso and Gunnar Helligso; his grandfather Tom Beck; his former wife Joann Norgaard; his wife Edith Thorsnes; his children, Kent Helligso (Colleen) and Kellyann Pinkstaff (Chris); his grandchildren, Lesa Benton, Mike Helligso (Shanti Peterson), Emma Williamson (Chris), Kate Paulson (Chris), Emily Pinkstaff (Chris Brady) and Kelsey Halsen (Matthew); his sister Geraldine Henry; his grandchildren, Erik, David, Quinn and Shannon Thorsnes; his brother Michael John; and also, Paul Thorsnes (Libby), John Thorsnes and Ann Thorsnes. He was also cherished by 14 great-grandchildren.
