He is survived by: his wife Gene Schuring; his children, Barbara Vardanega (Jay Thomas) of Portland, John Vardanega (Joan Fishback) of Warren, Lorelie Vardanega (Raj Paonaskar) of Portland and Josie Gilmore (Fred) of Herndon, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Jacob, Jenny Vardanega, Jordan Gilmore, Josha and Asa Paonaskar.
