He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Knight and Effie Knight (Sage); his siblings, Bob Sullivan, Darrell Sullivan, Frank Knight, Mary Bryan and Ruth LaPier; and his children-in-law, John Normand, Jr. and Brenda Denham.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Knight of Seaside, Oregon; his children, Jamela Knight (Rick Knight) of Vernonia, Kristen (Leo Hanthorn) of Seaside and Damon Knight (Kelli Brewer) of Portland, Oregon; his sisters, Ramona Gifford and Mattie Wren of Menifee, California.; his grandchildren, Jenifer (Bob Foster), Hadassah (Reuben Tayengwa), Keli (Ted Bergerson), Stephanie Hanthorn of Warrenton, Maddox Brewer Knight of Portland and Luka Brewer Knight of Portland, Oregon; and his great grandchildren, Jax Foster, Kolbie, Kayden Bergerson, Zuva and Zanzi Tayengwa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
COVID finally forced him into retirement when Riley's and all area establishments were shut down on March 16, 2020.
