He is survived by: his former wife Grace Jungwirth; his wife Constance; his children, Richard, Martin Atkinson, Michele Stowell, Sara Nickel and Anna Atkinson; and his siblings, Sharon Hurst, Trudie Atkinson, Lorna Pletnikoff, Paul and Tim Atkinson. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
