He was predeceased by: his parents, John Girvin and Jennie Dickinson Girvin; his brothers, Blaine and Bob; and his sons, Howard and David.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jackie Sisson (Stanley) and Barbara Morales; his daughter-in-law Janet Girvin; his sister Bonnie Magnuson; and also, Margaret Ross, Thelma Marcum, Erma Tschida and Bonnie Magnuson. He is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 42 Great-Grandchildren and 10 Great, Great Grandchildren.
