It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathryn Ann Merrick (Union, Oregon), born in Prairie City, Oregon, who passed away on July 19, 2019, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hiatt and Louise Hiatt (Voigt); her brother-in-law John Esser; and her parents-in-law, Leroy Merrick and Jean Merrick.
She is survived by: her husband Steve Merrick; her children, Paul Merrick (Terra) of Gladstone, MO and Amy McCants (Ken) of Union, OR; and her siblings, Mary Bennett of John Day, OR, Donna Esser of La Grande, OR and Bob Hiatt of La Grande, OR. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews.
