He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel M. Hays and Marion E. Hays (John); his grandson Tyler Benoit; and his brother John Hays. He is survived by: his daughter Nicole M. Benoit (Mark); his grandchildren, Joshua and Rebecca; and his siblings, Larry Hays, Patsy House (Art), Beverly Buitenbos (Dick) and George Hays (Mary Lynn). He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews.
