He was predeceased by: his parents, Roydan Lucas and Hazel Lucas (Hawks); his siblings, Eileen, Irene, Roydan Jr., Donald and Nadine Joye; his former wife Virginia; and his daughter Cindi Brower (Ron Franklin).

He is survived by: his wife Beverly Kal Gross of Ontario, Oregon.; his daughter Terri Franklin; and his son-in-law Tim Brower. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
