He is survived by: his parents, Mark Cooper and Judi Cooper (Knoot) of Johnston; his brother Owen of North Liberty; his grandmothers, Connie Knoot of Johnston and Judith Cooper of Newton; his uncle Vince Knoot (Ellen) of Bondurant; his aunts, Susan Hayes (Dylan) of Grimes and Cheryl Heng (Scott) of Waukee, Iowa; his cousins, Michael, Brett, Julianna Knoot, Mikayla, Chantelle Foster, Tyler and Dillon Waskow; and also Kalli Marie.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in Zach's name at Central College.
