“I am one of Mary Reeds daughters, known as Sherry. My Mom and Romilda Montgomery-Stroud, have been friends for over 60 yrs. I have known Romilda all my life. I even referred to her as my "2nd Mom, because when my Mom and Dad would leave town, Romilda looked in on my little sister and me. She took me to the hospital in Ft. Knox, brought Vicki and Brian over to visit play together. I would get some of Vicki's hand me downs and old Barbies she didn't play with anymore. I also remember our visits at The Montgomerys. Her house always very neat and clean!!! Romilda always was very neat and stylish. I liked everyone of her children. All of them were as nice as they could be to me ALWAYS! Her 1st husband, Roger, was a super nice man with a sweet sense of humor. He was my "2nd Dad". When he passed, Romilda was lost without him, then came along Hershel. He was to be Romilda's 2nd/last husband. When her oldest son, Jerry, was in Jewish Hospital, several yrs. back, I happened to be there too. She and Hershel saw that I was not being cared for properly, so she stayed with me while he found the proper administration to report the problem. I know I have went on and on, but I needed and wanted all readers to know how much her husbands, children, and Romilda herself meant to me!!! Heaven has another angel! RIP 2nd Mom!! Love, Sherry”
