He is survived by: his child Lyle Hammond; his grandchildren, Shaun Hammond and Stephanie Hammond; his daughter Lori Schoepp (Bill); his grandchildren, Rebecca Schoepp and Wille Schoepp; his son James Hammond Jr. (Marcy); his grandsons, James Hammond III, Corry Ayers, Terry Ayers and Aren Dyer (Adrianne); his daughter Teri Watson; his grandchildren, Mike Watson and Tiffany Watson; his son John Hammond (Natalie); his grandchildren, Nathaniel Hammond and Delaney Hammond; his niece Kathy Kreiter (Tim Goforth); his brother-in-law LeRoy Tharp (Julie); his nephew LeRoy Tharp Jr. (Jackie); his niece Ulaina Clark; his wife Nina Hammond; his parents, John Hammond and Della Hammond; his sibling Carolyn; and his grandson Travis Ayres. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
