She was predeceased by: her parents, John Haskell and Bernice Haskell (Joseph Sr.); her son Joseph Jr. (Eugene Speer); her siblings, Robert Haskell and Mildred Norris; and her siblings-in-law, Adeline, Jim, Larry Vanderwerf, Sally and Albert Schmit.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Vanderwerf; her children, Kathleen (Gary Longfellow), Mary (Ricky Thompson) and Ron (Patty Vanderwerf); her great grandchildren, Emma, Bowen, Emilia, Eleanor, Lucas, Elsie and Owen; her cousin Suzy; her siblings-in-law, Penny, Joann, Judy, Cheryl and John; and her pet Puffer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
