He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera Margaret Lang (Kern) and Henry Winfield Lang. He is survived by: his son Philip David; his wife Ginny; and his nephew Don Clark.

A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (9905 SW McKenzie St, Tigard, OR 97223). The inurnment was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Willamette National Cemetery (11800 SE Mt Scott Blvd, Happy Valley, OR 97086).
