He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fay Swift and Vivian Swift; his wife Anne; his children, Karenanne Swift, Linda Miller, Don Swift and Jim Swift; his sister Jean Scott of Napa; and his cousins, Sally Swift-Gregg of Des Moines and Jim Azbill of Sacramento. He was also cherished by children and four great grand children.
