With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ricky Raymond McKay of Sweet Home, Oregon, who passed away on November 7, 2022 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond McKay and Joyce McKay (Rowe). He is survived by: his wife Terie Slater-McKay; his children, Sarah Campbell and Richard McKay; and his siblings, Renae Dreher, Susie Lapp, Beverly Rowton and Craig McKay. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

“I have known Rick for may years thru timber sales that he bought from the Forest Service. That was several years ago, and Rick used to joke for long time about he might have well bought a house in Estacada to keep the crew in! Cheaper than the one motel in town. I have the uttermost respect for Rick (and his dad Ray) . A great logger and had a great crew. He was very smart in figuring out complex logging methods, just a great guy to work with! I miss him, Dale Phelps retired Forest Service”
