Michel Millard Robertson Obituary

Memorial service will be Noon Saturday June 11th at Riverside Christian Church. Private burial took place at Gilliland Cemetery.

Michel Millard Robertson, 74, of Sweet Home passed away peacefully in his home and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday. He was born in Lebanon to Raymond "Bob" Millard and Winifred Pheadore (Morris) Robertson.

Mike was raised in Sweet Home. Throughout his life he has lived in Alaska, Lakeview and Toledo, Oregon for the past 20 years. He retired and moved back to Sweet Home last year.

He served in the United States Army from 1966 – 1968 and served in the Vietnam War.

Mike was a truck driver for most of his life. He hauled on the Alaska pipeline in the 1970's. In the 80's he hauled throughout the United States. Finally for the last 25 years he worked for his cousin Ted Stock at Western Cascade Industries as log yard manager and shop foreman.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and Santa's workshop in Toledo.

Mike is survived by children: Michael and his wife Wendi Zanona of Sweet Home, Micah Robertson of Anchor Point, Alaska, Michelle Sewell of Newport, Jeremy McGrane of Casa Grande, Arizona, Becky McGrane of Soldotna, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
