As Lawrence Douglas departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Lawrence Douglas may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Lawrence Douglas leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Neilson (Lawrence) and David Neilson; his brother David Neilson; and his sister-in-law Jackie Neilson. He is survived by: his wife Janice Neilson of Sweet Home; his children, Renee Spotts of Texas and Chris Neilson of Reno; his stepson Joe Ruggiero; his daughter-in-law Sara Struminski of Sweet Home; his sister Wendy Twitchell of Kennebunkport, Maine; and his brother-in-law Bruce Martin of Kennebunkport. He is also survived by four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sweet Home Funeral Chapel (1443 Long St, Sweet Home, OR 97386).
